Tsum Valley Trek - 17 Days

  • Duration 17 Days
  • Trip Grade Moderate
  • Country Nepal

Explore one of the remotest Himalayan valleys on the Tsum Valley trek 17 days. Tsum Valley is a hidden valley in the northern Gorkha, east of Mt. Manaslu (the eighth-highest mountain in the world). Known for its barren beauty, tranquility, and spectacular mountain vistas, the Tsum Valley trek offers an incredible adventurous retreat.

The Tsum Valley is flanked by Himalchuli and Boudha Himal in the west, Ganesh Himal in the south, and Shringi Himal in the north. This trek route is the extended part of the famous Manaslu Circuit trek. The trail separates from Lokpa village. You will walk northeast and travel deep into the Tsum Valley.

The Tsum Valley was opened in 2008. The trekking route is a restricted area and is protected under the Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP). Trekkers who want to do this trek have to follow some compulsory rules like mandatory trekking with a guide in a group of at least two trekkers.

As the valley remained closed to the outside world for a long time, everything remained intact there. Moreover, only a handful of adventure enthusiasts trek in the Tsum Valley, so the trail is less crowded, and there is no sign of mass tourism. Not only that, but the trekking infrastructures for the trekkers are also limited.
